Created To Love Blog: Love is Accepting

Have you ever experienced being in a family where you were ejected? Sometimes you did not even know why. What about at work? One day your co-workers have a cordial relationship with you, and then the next day they are barely speaking to you. I have experienced this, and sometimes I was given the privy to talk about whatever it was that gave them right to disconnect me from their lives. However, there were times that I did not know why and still do not know to this day.

Accepting others, no matter what life circumstances may bring your way, or their way is choosing to love like Jesus. We all have had things to happen to us that devastated us . . . Rape, incest, divorce, abortion, loss of a job, death in the family, unfaithful friends, money issues, unfilled dreams, sin in our lives. We tend to judge others out of the way we are or what we are experiencing, but the Bible says in Matthew 7:1-29 ESV, Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure, you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but does not notice the log that is in your eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. These are the times that we need people the most. These are the times that we can build bridges and make a difference in the lives of others. Use this time to build community and to establish unity amongst the people of God.

I read somewhere last week that people do not know how to love and they don’t even know how to allow others to love them. That was mammoth! I had to search my spirit and soul to determine where did I fall into that category. God’s platform for my life, my main purpose for living is to encourage people of all ages and all walks of life to love each other the way that Jesus loves them and also to be able to receive love. We have to be able to receive the love of Jesus. I cannot say this enough, and I pray that I am acting this out daily. What part of God’s voice and purpose has He given you? What’s your platform for Jesus’ campaign?

People are hurting and hurting people hurt people. I pray that you will have the courage to step out of your hurt and focus on helping and loving others into their destiny. You have power beyond measure. Your heavenly Father gave it to you when you chose Him to reside in you.

I PRAY THAT YOU CHOOSE TO DO IT NOW!
