Created To Love Blog: It Is Important to Forgive

Have you ever gotten into a funk? You are at a paralyzed. Your mind is moving, but no action. You know what needs to happen, but you respond to yourself by saying, “I don’t want to do it.” Each time tasks enters your mind. Read your word now, work on your class assignment, fold the clothes, wash the dishes, call sister so and so, prepare the speech, etc. In your mind, the response to each task is, “I don’t want to do it.”

We often focus on forgiving others, but what about ourselves? I believe that when we continuously put off doing what we need to do, we become upset and unforgiving of ourselves and need to forgive ourselves so that we can move forward. If you find yourself in this place, forgive yourself and say it out loud so that you can hear it. Then do it. Forgive yourself and move on. None of us are perfect. We all make mistakes. Address one to three tasks at a time. Complete one task before moving to the next one. We tend to overwhelm ourselves by putting a million things on our TTD List. Only list three things that you will do today. Again, complete one before moving to the next one.

In 2 Corinthians 2:7, God says, Live by faith and not by sight. Don’t focus on what you see. Focus on what you believe. God says that ALL things work together for good. Know and believe that regardless, He is working it out in your favor and God’s timing is perfect! Listen to the voice of God and speak the word over your mind.

I love you all!
